andhra-election-results-mptc-and-zptc

PRP supported candidate won in Aallagadda while TDP won in Dendulur ZPTC by-polls. Ministers Maganti Babu and Mareppa resigned after the defeat of Congress candidates in Dendulur and Aluru ZPTC by-elections. 

ZPTC by-elections results:

Total ZPTC seats: 7. Congress Party won in 3 ZPTCs while Telugu Desam Party won in another 3 ZPTC seats. PRP supported indepdent won in another segment.

1. Aallagadda (Kurnool): Independent with Praja Rajyam party support won this seat by a margin of 5,000 votes. This is a huge boost to Bhooma couple.

2. Dendulur: TDP defeated Congress candidate in a fiercely contested polls. Minister Maganti Babu resigned from cabinet due to this result. Winning margin is 4,477 votes.

3. Kirlampudi (East Godavari): Congress candidate T. Venkatachalam won by 12,000 votes majority. PRP supported Congress candidate here.

4. Aluru (TDP): TDP candidate won in this tightly contested ZPTC segment. This is a huge blow to Kotla family. TDP leader S.V. Subbareddy proved his strength. Winning margin: 1,400 votes.

5. Peravali (West Godavari): Congress candidate won by a margin of 5,000 votes.

6. Achanta (West Godavari): Congress candidate won in this seat by a margin of 2,000 votes.

7. Maklur (Nizamabad): TDP won this seat in Telangana. TRS supported TDP candidate here. This result is a big blow to PCC president D. Sreenivas.

MPTC by-polls results:

Total seats: 47. Congress Party won in 30 MPTCs while TDP won in 10 MPTC seats. Indepdents won in 7 MPTC seats.
